A third consecutive road game and the home finale are on tap for the 5th-ranked Laramie Plainsmen basketball team this weekend.

Tonight, the Plainsmen (10-10, 5-2) travel to the Capital City of Cheyenne and take on the Central Indians (2-16, 1-5). Laramie won the first meeting in the Gem City three weeks ago by a score of 43-35. LHS looks for its' fifth straight win over the last two seasons against Central. Game time is set for 7:30 pm from the Central Fieldhouse.

Saturday afternoon, Laramie plays for the final time at the LHS gym, as they welcome the Cheyenne East T-Birds. Six seniors will be honored prior to the game, as Steve Rahel, Kyle Kuhn, Ben Carver, Nick Moline, Nick Mayes and Kevin Dooley play the final home game of their careers.

The Plainsmen topped the T-Birds by five in the first game earlier this season in Cheyenne, 40-35. Game time is scheduled for 3 pm.

In addition, the Plainsmen basketball team has been raising money this week for a cancer benefit at the game. They're asking fans to wear maroon to Saturday's game for a "Maroon Out." LHS student Marty Coburn has had to drop out of school because of Osteosarcoma and is receiving treatment for the disease in Denver, Colorado. Free t-shirts they say "Maroon Mayhem" for Marty will be given to the first 200 people through the door Saturday. There's also a 50-50 raffle and money from the post-game pop free throw shoot going to the Coburn family.

The 2nd-ranked Laramie Lady Plainsmen will be at home tonight and on the road Saturday.

Laramie (15-4, 4-3) takes on the 5th-ranked Central Lady Indians at the LHS gym tonight. Game time is set for 7:30 pm. It's also their Senior Recognition night. The four Seniors, Kensie Harris, Shaley Anderson, Allie Riegel and Fayne Tyson will be honored prior to the game.

Saturday they go on the road for a conference tilt against East in Cheyenne at Storey gym. Game time is set for 3:30 pm.

The Lady Plainsmen lost by three, 45-42, in the first meeting against Central, but beat East 68-53 three weeks ago.
