LARAMIE -- Well, that was quick.

In less than 24 hours, it appears Wyoming has found its new offensive coordinator, hiring University of Iowa offensive line coach Tim Polasek, according to report by ESPN's Adam Rittenburg.

Polasek will replace Brent Vigen who was hired Monday as the next head coach at Montana State.

This will be Polasek's second stint under Wyoming head coach Craig Bohl. Polasek was a running backs/ tight ends/ fullbacks coach and coordinated the special teams for Bohl at North Dakota State from 2006-12.

After spending one season at Northern Illinois, Polasek returned to Fargo in 2014 and was the offensive coordinator for the Bison for three seasons before heading to Iowa City. In 2014-15, Polasek coached current Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz.

In his four-year stint with the Hawkeyes, Polasek recruited and coached one of the top offensive line units in the nation, including 2020 All-American, Tyler Linderbaum.

Here are some offensive stats from Iowa's eight-game season in 2020:

* 36 of 107 on third down (107th out of 127 FBS teams that played)

* 171 rushing yards per game (58th)

* 197.6 passing yards per game (97th)

* .917 red-zone efficiency (10th)

* 31.8 points per game (40th)

* 368.6 yards per game (87th)

* 11 sacks allowed (21st)

* 5.12 tackles for loss allowed per outing (33rd)

This story will be updated when the hire becomes official.
