UPDATE: Student Arrested After Shot Fired at Cheyenne High School
UPDATE:
A South High School student was arrested Thursday after Cheyenne police say he shot a gun in the school parking lot.
Police were called to the school around 11:20 a.m. and later determined that a 17-year-old student had shot a window on an unoccupied vehicle.
The teen was arrested on suspicion of discharging a firearm in city limits, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, felony larceny and burglary.
The incident forced the school to lockdown for about 20 minutes. Nearby Johnson Junior High School was also placed on a secure perimeter.
Police say no one was injured.

Cheyenne South High School was placed on lockdown Thursday morning after a reported shooting in the school's parking lot, according to police.
Officer Kevin Malatesta says police were called to the school around 11:30 a.m.
"We're still still investigating all the details of what actually took place," he said.
Malatesta says nobody was injured in the incident and the male student involved has been identified and contacted.
"I can't say if there was any arrest made or anything like that," he said. "I can say the lockdown has been lifted (and) there's no ongoing threat at this time."
