The Laramie Chamber Business Alliance has named NU2U as the October Business of the Month.  The business recently expanded to a second store on the northwest corner of 5th and Garfield Streets.

NU2U first opened its doors more than 10 years ago.  Owners Rob and Chelsea Harder took over 3 and a half years ago, and were interested in opening a second location from the start.

The community can do more than shop at NU2U; people can sell or donate anything. A big part of NU2U’s mission is to give back to the community by donating to local non-profit organizations.

The new store at 302 S. 5th St. was opened on Oct. 9 with a ribbon cutting ceremony and donation to Interfaith Good Samaritan in the amount of $1,375.  The grand opening also debuted the Boarding House Gallery, featuring artwork from Gary and Celeste Havener.  The Gallery occupies the upstairs portion of the building, and is designed as a professional yet relaxed showcase for local artists.

All of the merchandise from the original store is available in divided sections at the new location, a benefit of the store’s open layout.  Higher-end items are displayed in glass cases throughout the store, creating an enticing atmosphere.

The first location at 116 E. Custer is set to be converted into a consignment store specifically for sporting gear.
