Laramie Mayor Andrea Summerville revealed that the towns' roads are a big focus of the Laramie City Council.

The mayor knows the topic of street repair, maintenance and paving in West Laramie are a continuous conversation in the Gem City. The Laramie City Council will be looking at how they can utilize money from the 6th penny tax renewal they are hoping passes on the August 21 ballot.

In her monthly visit during the "Laramie Live on KOWB" radio morning show, Mayor Summerville discussed the pending passage of the city budget for the next year, but the conversation kept coming back to streets. Summerville and host David Settle discussed roads locally, plus future WYDOT projects. She also mentioned some of the topics that were brought up in Ward 1 at the recent 5th Tuesday Ward meetings and a little bit more.

The first session will be June 26, while a couple more will occur in July. The time and location of these public meetings, plus the dates in July will be announced soon.
