A man charged with accessory before the fact to burglary pled guilty in Albany County District Court today.

Nicholas Rierson, 26, pleaded guilty to amended charges. He could face up to 10 years in prison and $10,000 in fines.

Rierson was originally charged with accessory before the fact to aggravated burglary, the maximum sentence for which is 25 years in prison. Rierson agreed to plead guilty to the amended charges as part of a plea deal. The state will also recommend probation upon sentencing in Rierson’s case and dismiss any companion misdemeanor charges in circuit court.

Rierson was arrested on June 5 for allegedly assisting in a burglary in Laramie. According to court documents, Rierson acted as a lookout while three other individuals removed a tent, a sleeping bag and a king sized air mattress from a Laramie garage without the owner’s permission. Tawnee Wright, who took part in the burglary, pled not guilty to aggravated burglary charges today in District Court. Her trial is scheduled for Feb. 1 and 2.

Rierson’s sentencing date has yet to be scheduled.
