Legion Baseball Gets ‘Green Light’ to Start Games
The ‘Wyoming American Legion Baseball’ season can start next Wednesday under updated guidelines provided by State Chairman Cody Beers on Friday.
The latest plan supersedes the one that was adopted on May 2 and put into place on May 4, 2020. WyoPreps encourages everyone to read the instructions carefully.
There are several key points laid out by the state chairman, including “Safety is our No. 1 priority.” Another main focus is the return of signed waivers by players and parents for an individual player to be allowed to play in a game.
There are social distancing guidelines, no handshakes, teams must stay away from each other, entry and exit plans for teams and fans, directions for concession stands, and other mandatory team and player restrictions.
Beers has said all along that legion baseball will be watched and might be setting an example to begin the comeback for sports in the Cowboy State.

For games through May 31, only a maximum of 25 persons are allowed on a playing field at a time. This includes players, coaches, and 2 umpires.
Any further updates to these guidelines will follow after instructions from Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon and the State Health Department.
