Laramie’s Back to School Bash Showcases Resources+Fun
School is right around the corner. With so much preparation, registration, physicals, and other last-minute to-dos, it can be hard to fathom what other options to take advantage of.
Big Brothers and Big Sisters (BBBS) of Laramie is hoping to help out with their 10th annual Back to School Bash at Undine Park on Thursday, Aug. 31 from 4-7 p.m.
Hanna Eslinger at BBBS said the bash is “A resource fair for kids and families to see the resources we have in town offered to them. Nonprofits, after-school programs, school groups, tutoring options, doctors, banks, dentists, artistic opportunities, and clubs will be at the park, talking about their services and opportunities available.”
The event is a successful one, drawing over 2,500 attendees each year. The bash will feature a variety of resources and information. “We will have lots of niches. Your kid will be represented. We have a lot to discover!”
Along with information, there will be plenty of other freebies and entertainment. The vendors will be handing out prizes and activities. “It’s a lot of fun, and we have a good turnout. There will be free food, giveaways, tons of games, and a zorb ball,” Eslinger said.
Big Brothers and Big Sisters encourage interested vendors to contact them at (307) 742-2227. BBBS wants as many resources and as much information as possible to be provided to families and to schools, so the community can take advantage of all the great things offered here.
“Laramie is such a great place to live and a great place to raise kids,” Eslinger added.
