The weekends movie forecast calls for a winter rerun.  Winter weather is back, and so is Tom Cruise.  He is starring in two movies opening today in Laramie.

First, Cruise stars in Oblivion, about a future Earth in which almost all of the people have disappeared.  According to early reviews, this film rates a "C+."  Cruise also stars in Jack Reacher.  The action film returns today for a second run in Laramie, it rates a "B."

Promised Land, a fictional film about oil companies and a small town makes its debut in Laramie on Sunday.  The one-time-only showing of Promised Land, starring Matt Damon, will be 7 PM, April 21 at the Wyo Theater.  The movie won the National Board of Review's Freedom of Expression award.

The best holdovers in Laramie are the baseball movie 42 and Jurassic Park 3D.
