Laramie Police Identify One Suspect in Shoplifting Case
Laramie Police are investigating a shoplifting at a local Laramie liquor store.
On the evening of Jan. 10, an officer was dispatched to the liquor store for a report of a shoplifting. The officer was told that two male subjects had each taken two 12-packs of ale and left the store without paying for them, according to Laramie Police Lieutenant Gwen Smith.
The value of the merchandise stolen was $63.56. Video surveillance of the suspects was available and the officer located one of the suspects, Preston Wittmer, 20. The officer issued Wittmer a misdemeanor citation for shoplifting. A manager of the liquor store said the business wished to remain anonymous.
Lieutenant Smith says the investigation is ongoing.
