In an effort to connect University of Wyoming students with Laramie's vibrant downtown district and rest of the community, the Laramie Downtown Mash-Up will be September 27 in downtown Laramie.

It's an opportunity for students, UW, and the people of Laramie to get together and enjoy live music, dancing, and food. There will also be exclusive swag available and the chance to participate in other activities There will be music by two Laramie bands: The Locals and The Woodpile. The music is presented by Premier Bone & Joint Centers.

The Downtown Mash-Up is hosted by UW, the Laramie Main Street Alliance, UniWyo Federal Credit Union, and other sponsors. It takes place from 7:00 PM until 11:30 PM at the Laramie Railroad Depot and surrounding area.

The event will be part of UW Family Weekend, offering students and families an evening of entertainment. The night will also be a tuneup for the UW football game vs. Nevada-Las Vegas the next day (September 28), as members of the UW cheer squad will be in attendance.

The Downtown Mash-Up will follow the regular Laramie Downtown Farmers Market, which runs from 3-7 p.m. at the parking lot north of Depot Park. A number of food and beverage vendors will set up shop for the Downtown Mash-Up.

A number of other activities are also being planned by UW student organizations. Family-friendly activities will include a bouncy house, and Pistol and Pete, and the UW College of Agriculture and Natural Resources’ team of draft horses will provide wagon rides early in the evening.

UW Transit and Parking Services buses will transport UW students to and from downtown Friday, with buses running between 6-8 p.m. and 10 p.m.-midnight.
