Laramie Coach Tom Hudson Passes 800 Career Wins [VIDEO]

He’s been the mainstay of Laramie High School swimming for 31 years. Now, head coach Tom Hudson has surpassed another milestone.

With three victories in a dual meet in Gillette last Friday, Hudson surpassed 800 career victories as the head coach of Laramie’s high school swim teams. LHS topped Campbell County, Thunder Basin, and Newcastle in that triple dual.

His career record now stands at 801-124-4 in dual meets.

WyoPreps’ David Settle caught up with Laramie’s head coach to talk about his accomplishment, less fanfare about reaching 800, and what it means to him in the video at the top of this story.

Laramie has won the last four Class 4A girls’ swimming and diving state championships and the last three boys’ Class 4A titles.
