Laramie City Council to Hold Interviews for New City Councilor Position
The Laramie City Council will hold interviews for a new city council member during their special meeting tonight at 5:30 at City Hall.
Laramie Mayor Andrea Summerville said this will be the only round of interviews for the five applicants for the position.
Summerville said the interviews will be held in a panel-style. She said the interviews are open to the public and members of the community will be able to pose questions to the applicants as well.
Summerville said after that, City Council will rank the applicants and the first applicant to receive five votes will be appointed.
Summerville said the final decision will be announced during their regular meeting next Tuesday, Nov. 7.
City Council began seeking applicants after former Councilor Vicki Henry, of Ward 1, submitted her resignation to the council on Sept. 23. Henry said in her resignation letter she was moving to Arizona due to family matters.
