LARAMIE --   Melissa Ross, marketing and membership director of the Laramie Chamber Business Alliance, updated the community for the Chamber’s August activities, and a few things coming up in the fall.

August ribbon-cutting ceremonies start on Friday, Aug. 2, at 12 noon for Premier Advocacy Services, located at 1465 North 4th Street Suite 111. Meet the team, see the office, grab a slice of pizza, and play games to win prizes.

Black Hills Energy will host a ribbon-cutting and Business After Hours from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 15, at 3702 Cherrywood West Loop in Laramie.

The first Business After Hours event in August is set for Thursday, Aug. 8, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., hosted by UniWyo Federal Credit Union, 2020 Grand Ave.

Then on Thursday, Aug 22, First Interstate Bank hosts Business After Hours at 221 E Ivinson St. from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Jumping ahead into September, the Chamber Membership Luncheon is set for 12 noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 11, at the Laramie Holiday Inn, 204 S. 30th St.

Ross explained the events for October’s Startup Week in Laramie and the Ag Appreciation Banquet at the Gateway Center.

Melissa Ross, marketing and membership director of the Laramie Chamber Business Alliance, continues with her update of the Chamber’s fall activities.

“Oct. 4 is Startup Week in Laramie, where you pitch an idea, with a team. It’s a really fun environment to develop entrepreneurial skills. I definitely recommend businesses send their employees, or if you’re a student or entrepreneur, get involved,” Ross said.

“The following weekend we have our Ag Appreciation Dinner on Friday, Oct. 11, at the Gateway Center. This dinner is held every fall. Businesses sponsor a table, then invite ranchers and others in the ag community to join them. All the funds raised at this event go towards local and youth agricultural organizations, and a scholarship,” said Ross.
