Where to Watch the Fourth of July Fireworks in Cheyenne

Cheyenne's annual fireworks show, presented by Cheyenne Frontier Days and the City of Cheyenne, will light up the skies over Frontier Park beginning at 9:35 p.m. on the Fourth of July.

And while Frontier Park won't be open as a viewing location, there are still plenty of spots to enjoy the show from.

"The Wyoming Department of Transportation and the Laramie County School District have offered their parking lots for fireworks viewing," CFD spokeswoman Nicole Gamst said in a release.

"The south end of Lions Park will be open to foot traffic only, and the north end of Lions Park will b open as normal," Gamst added. "Carey Avenue will be closed to vehicle traffic at 3:00 p.m. on July 4."

Gamst says you can even enjoy the show from your own neighborhood or other open, flat areas.

"The 2023 fireworks show is designed to maximize aerial displays for visibility from locations all over Cheyenne," said Gamst.

"Tune in to local radio station KFBC at 1240 AM and 97.5 FM to hear the patriotic broadcast accompanying the fireworks display," added Gamst.

As a reminder, the use of consumer fireworks within city limits is not allowed on private property except for sparklers, smoke devices, and novelties.
