The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service says there is good news and bad news in the southeast Wyoming weather forecast for the next few days.

The good news is that cooler, wetther weather may dampen what has been an unusually high fire danger over the next few days. The bad news is that some areas could see enough snow to impact travel conditions, especially along parts of Interstate 80.

The agency posted the following on its website:

''Here's your forecast for southeast Wyoming and Nebraska Panhandle for the next 3 days. The good news is just about everyone is going to see some much needed rainfall through this event. The bad news, looking like fairly widespread snow will develop for areas along and west of the Laramie Range, which will be on the cold side of the low as it tracks through Colorado. Could see some travel impacts on Interstate 80 Friday from Rawlins to the I-80 Summit. Stay tuned to later updates in the forecast as the event draws closer.''
