Large Stretch Of I-80 In Wyoming Closed By Winter Storm

As of 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, much of Interstate 80 in Wyoming was closed in one or both directions, according to the Wyoming Department of Transportation

You can access the WYDOT road and travel report here. According to the report, the interstate was closed in both directions between Rock Springs and Rawlins. The westbound lane of I-80 was closed between Rawlins and Cheyenne due to a rolling closure.

The website said that as of 11 a.m., the estimated opening time for the entire length of I-80 that was closed was 10-12 hours.

Winter Weather Expected Into Friday

A winter storm has hit Wyoming over the last day or so. Cheyenne and Laramie at last report were under a Winter Weather Advisory until 6 a.m. on Friday.
