Cheyenne Man Accused of Trying to Stab Woman to Death
A 48-year-old Cheyenne man is facing a felony charge after allegedly trying to stab a woman to death.
According to a booking sheet, police were called to Joseph Michael Mladenik's home at 922 Ballad Ln. shortly before 1 o'clock Wednesday morning, Nov. 1, in reference to a physical domestic.
An investigation concluded Mladenik attempted to stab Stephanita Mladenik with a bladed object while stating, "This will kill you."
Mladenik was arrested and subsequently charged with aggravated assault.
He made his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court Wednesday morning, during which his bond was set at $5,000 cash and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for Nov. 9 at 2 p.m.
This isn't Mladenik's first brush with the police. He was arrested clear back on Sept. 15, 2015, after reportedly making threats at 1930 Pershing Pointe Dr. and leading law enforcement on a high-speed chase that eventually ended near Potter, Nebraska.
