Above-average temperatures are set to return to southeast Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle by week's end, the National Weather Service in Cheyenne says.

"Places across the area will go from over 20 degrees below average on Wednesday, to almost 20 degrees above average by Tuesday next week," the NWS said.

Tuesday's highs in Cheyenne and Scottsbluff are expected to be near 72 and 78 degrees, respectively.

The NWS says mostly sunny skies can also be expected with the warm-up.
