1 Injured After Vehicle Rear-Ends Snowplow on I-80 Near Laramie
One person was taken to the hospital Tuesday night after a vehicle rear-ended a Wyoming Department of Transportation snowplow on Interstate 80 near Laramie, officials say.
It happened around 10 p.m. at the closure gate at mile marker 317 in the eastbound lane.

According to WYDOT spokeswoman Andrea Staley, the snowplow operator had just returned to his snowplow after dropping the closure gate, when a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed rear-ended him.
"Extensive damage was sustained to the back axle of the plow," said Staley. "The plow operator was uninjured."
Staley says the driver of the vehicle was also able to walk away from the crash, but her passenger was taken by ambulance to the hospital.
Staley didn't know the extent of her injuries, but said she was conscious when the ambulance showed up.
14th WYDOT Plow Hit This Season, 6th in District 1
This is the 14th WYDOT plow to be hit in the state and the sixth to be hit in District 1 in southeast Wyoming this season.
"WYDOT reminds drivers to be mindful when driving in winter conditions," said Staley. "This includes checking road conditions before traveling, driving at a speed suitable for the conditions, and watching for snowplows."
