The annual Wyoming Invitational cross-country meet was held at the Little America Golf Course in Cheyenne on Saturday featuring a host of Colorado schools along with the 3 Cheyenne institutions, plus Laramie and Natrona.

On the boys' side, Cheyenne Central's Bridger Brokow was the gold medalist in 16.15.50. He placed 5th at last year's 4A State Championships. His teammate Race Morrell was 2nd in 16.21.50 and Central freshman Jonah Rigg was 9th. Considering the huge field with over 200 runners, Central has a lot to be proud of as they took 1st place in the team standings with 107 points with Fossil Ridge, CO 2nd with 123 and Boulder, CO. 3rd with 127. Laramie was 10th, Natrona 12th and Cheyenne East 13th.

On the girls' side, the individual medalist was Kiki Vaughn from Boulder in 18.46.60. Natrona's Ally Wheeler took with a clocking of 19.21.30 and she placed 6th at last year's 4A State Meet. Lainey Berryhill of Laramie was 12th in 19.59.90 and Cheyenne Central's Emma Hofmeister was 17th in 20.20.00. There were just under 200 runners for the girls' race with Boulder placing first with 55 points, Fossil Ridge 2nd with 60, and Natrona 3rd with 177. Central was 5th, Laramie 8th and East took 12th.
