A Funny Map That Offers What Each State Offers Travelers
When choosing a summer vacation, there are many places you can check online to get some good insight on where to go. The internet is full of people who will let you know about their top choices, whether you want to know or not.
Travel blogger and content creator Sierra In The City is one of those who "partners" up with others to get the word out on where she thinks you'd love to visit. On her site (www.sierrainthecity.com), one of the places she lists as a "Dream Vacation Spot in the USA" is Wyoming. Well, in particular, Yellowstone National Park.
It's pretty cool that someone who travels the world and has pictures of herself in places from all around the world, picks Wyoming as one of her top 3 places to visit.
Although seeing her pictures and hearing her thoughts about vacation spots, I'm not sure she and I are on the same page about why we're visiting these locations. I'm also really not influenced by most influencers.
When I'm looking for a place to vacation, I want solid information and a good starting point for my research.
I found a map that shows the reasons, or lack thereof, that you'd want to visit each state. Even though it's a little 'tongue-in-cheek,' it's still pretty accurate.
Wyoming, along with Montana, Colorado, Utah, and Alaska, is labeled as one of the states you'd want to visit if you're looking to see nature.
California, Illinois, New York, Massachusetts, and Maryland are all states to visit if you want to see cities.
Texas, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, and Virginia are all labeled as states where you go to visit relatives.
Florida, North Carolina, and Arizona are states you want to visit if you're looking for a tan (or you're elderly).
Nevada and Louisiana are states to visit if you want to 'Sin.'
Hawaii is labeled as the state you go to visit if you're rich.
South Carolina, Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Oregon, and Washington are all states you go to because, well, your family has just always gone there.
Idaho, North Dakota, and West Virginia are all states where you NEVER go.
Finally, South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico are all states you go to when you're going somewhere else. Ahhh, the classic "Flyover States."
I didn't come up with these descriptions, but for the most part, they're accurate.
