The Wyoming Walleye Stampede Has Crowned A 2025 Champ

The 2025 Wyoming Walleye Stampede has been a family affair. There were four tournaments, and four different families who won.

The Walleye Stampede has been around long enough (17 years) that even if there isn't an actual family connection, they've all become like a family. Four times per year, these anglers and their families all come together and spend the whole weekend at the lake. T

This year, though, it's been the real families that have been front and center when the trophies and checks are being handed out at the end of the weekend.

The first-round tournament was in Glendo, and the father/ son duo of Lee & Anthony Apodaca got their first Stampede win.

The second Glendo tournament was won by the Father-in-law/ Son-in-law team of Bryan Muncy & Marcus Griffith, also first-time winners.

Round three and final championship qualifier at Pathfinder was also another first-time winning team of Brian Locke & Lori Snodgrass, who also have a family connection.

The championship round was this past weekend at Boysen Reservoir, and yep, you guessed it, another family was crowned the winner.

Clint & Lora Acres fought off tough competitors to become the season's fourth family to win one of the Stampede events and were crowned the 2025 Wyoming Walleye Stampede Champions.
