The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is holding two public meetings to take in-person input on proposed changes to license selling locations.

The department reports the proposed changes would “streamline guidelines and processes for businesses that are authorized to sell Game and Fish licenses” under Chapter 31, the regulation governing authorized license selling agents.

“License selling agents are important partners to Game and Fish,” said Greg Phipps, Game and Fish fiscal chief in a statement. “About one-third of licenses are sold through authorized selling agents, so these proposed changes are to better support that partnership.”

Game and Fish will host one public meeting on Jan 29 in Casper, and another on Jan 30 in Lander. Both meetins will be at the Game and Fish office for that location.

The department has also opened a comment period for those who cannot attend the meetings.

Written comments will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Feb 4 via mail or the Game and Fish website. Mailed comments can be sent to Wyoming Game and Fish Department Regulations, 3030 Energy Lane, Casper, WY 82604.

The department says written comments are to be presented to the Game and Fish Commission prior to a three-day public hearing beginning March 20 in Cody.

Comment forms and information on the proposed changes are available on the Game and Fish Department public meetings webpage.
