This year’s Downtown Laramie Farmer’s Market promises to be bigger and has moved to a new location to accommodate more vendors.

Jessica Brauer, Laramie Main Street Communications Director, said the downtown Laramie farmer’s market is moving to the parking lot north of Depot Park. Brauer said the reason for the move was to accommodate more vendors.

“The main reason was that we’ve had a waiting list for vendors for the Market for quite a few years now so this is an opportunity for us to expand the space and allow more vendors to come in,” Brauer said.  “We also are able to use the green space there with the park, so there will be a lot more activities for kids and a new area to explore.”

The green space near the market location is going to be used for games and other activities and Brauer said there will be a bounce house for children.

Brauer said that though the location is new, the market will be the same market that many Laramie residents know and love.

“There still will be live music which is presented by Blue Federal Credit Union, Altitude will be there serving cocktails, all the same food vendors everyone enjoys will be there,” Brauer said.

The other thing Brauer said residents should be on the lookout for is the mobile toy library, which will be collecting donated toys and games such as jump ropes and hula hoops for children to use in the park during the market.

The market will run Fridays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. from June 29 through Sept. 28th.
