The 100th Wyoming State Fair is in full swing, and it is sure to be a memorable event. This year state fair coordinators pulled out all the stops and were able to get a big name country artist to perform. Dierks Bentley will perform at the Wyoming State Fair this Wednesday.

Dierks Bentley will perform at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 15th. Despite his great popularity, the “5-1-5-0” star’s show is at a surprisingly affordable price. Tickets for the event are on sale for only $20. This price was set to keep the concert affordable for families and individuals who may be traveling to the state fair on a budget.

Ticket are available at the will call trailer located just outside the fair grounds. Tickets may also be purchased on credit and debit cards via telephone at 307-358-2398. Tickets will be available the day of the event if the show is not sold out. According to James Goodrich, Wyoming State Fair Director, walk-up sales have been quite large for concerts in past years. This year, however, Goodrich anticipates sales to the Dierks Bentley concert to primarily be presale. With such a big name coming to Douglas, WY, Goodrich expects the 3,500 person capacity venue to be sold out.

Doors to the event will open at 6 p.m. All tickets are sold as general seating with no reserved seats, so be sure to get there early if you want the best seat in the house. With the venue being somewhat small, Goodrich says it provides people with a more up close and personal experience than they may have at larger venues.

Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers will start the show off at 7 p.m. Coordinators of the fair brought in the opening band in order to set up a package that will appeal to people of all ages. Live entertainment throughout the entire fair was planned in order to appeal to people who like all genres of music and of varying ages.

Bringing Dierks Bentley to the state fair was a challenge for coordinators. With larger venues around the state bringing in big name entertainment, finding the right person for the state fair was a challenge. Because the Wyoming State Fair is celebrating its 100th year, they were able to bring in Bentley, something Goodrich says likely would not have happened any other year.

Seeing such a big country artist at the Wyoming State Fair is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Don’t miss out on your chance to see this amazing performer in an up close and personal way.
