The Snowy Range Dance Festival Gala Concert, a culmination of ten days of intensive dance study, will be staged at the UW Arts and Sciences auditorium on July 21st.  This will be the second of two concerts showcasing the dancer's work.

Dance students, ages 13 and up, at the Snowy Range Dance Festival began working with distinguished faculty from around the country since July 11th.  Classes during the festival have been running the gamut from Modern dance to ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop and specialty dance.   According to an official release from Snowy Range Dance Festival spokesperson, Krina Turner, classes are being taught by Sharee Lane, Susan Israel Massey and Tony Waag.  Nicholas Cendese, Sarah Donohue, Rosy Goodman, Toni Lugo, Nathan Shaw, Katie Winder and Aaron Wood from Salt Lake City based Repertory Dance Theatre are also on this year's faculty.

Students at the festival will get a chance to apply what they've learned at two concerts.  The Student Showcase Concert is July 18th at 7 p.m. in the College of Arts and Sciences Auditorium; admission is free. Students have the chance to show off work from their home studios in this performance.

The festival culminates in the Gala Concert, which showcases works created by guest faculty and features student dancers, as well as performances by members of Repertory Dance Theatre on July 21st at 4:00 p.m. in the College of Arts and Sciences Auditorium.

Once again, the Student Showcase is free, but the Gala costs $10 for general admission in advance or $12 at the door.
