Another Orchestra will be performing at the University of Wyoming's Fine Arts Concert Hall this Friday evening at 7:30pm. The Colorado Chamber Orchestra will be performing works created by UW composers. The concert is free and will feature music for small chamber ensembles.

The Colorado Chamber Orchestra is a group of musicians from the Denver metro area and are well known for their strong performances throughout the region. They will be performing pieces by UW student composers Justin Smith, Heidi Deisch, Jessica Pacheco, Daniel Galbreath, Hanif Nik and Antonio Moreira.

The musical compositions consist of various combinations of string instruments, winds, and percussion, including a Persian-inspired work for clarinet and chamber ensemble. Also to be performed is a trio for flute, clarinet, and timpani as well as a romantic sextet that references film music and sambas of the early 20th century.

The free concert is sponsored by the Douglas B. Reeves Endowment for music composition and will begin at 7:30 in the UW Fine Arts Concert Hall. For more information, email Anne Guzzo at guzzo@uwyo.edu.
