Cheyenne Regional Medical Center CEO Resigns
Cheyenne Regional Medical Center (CRMC) announced Friday that CEO Margo Karsten will be leaving the hospital in September.
Karsten, who has been with the Cheyenne hospital since 2013, has accepted a position as CEO at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, Colorado.
"I have truly been blessed and fortunate to work here," said Karsten. "It has been a wonderful experience with so many great people, and it will be difficult to say goodbye. However, my family is my first priority and I very much need to live closer to my kids right now."
Karsten's last day at CRMC will be September 2. Board of Trustees Chairman Patrick Madigan will serve as interim CEO until the hospital can hire a permanent replacement.
"I am confident that Cheyenne Regional is in a strong position with the leadership that we have in place," said Karsten "I have no doubt that they will continue to strengthen this organization in many positive ways."
