The 14th Annual Wyoming Buddy Walk will take place on October 4th in Laramie, WY. The purpose of the Wyoming Buddy Walk is to celebrate the lives of people with Down Syndrome and raise awareness about Down syndrome in Wyoming.

The annual Wyoming Buddy Walk also raises money to provide support for individuals with Down Syndrome and their families.

The Wyoming Down Syndrome Association, in conjunction with Ark Regional Services, organizes the event. This year we scheduled the event on the University of Wyoming Football’s bye week. We are hopeful that this will allow us to continue to involve our good friends from UW Athletics, and maybe even add a few more. We have invited the UW Spirit Squad and Pistol Pete to join us again this year.

We are inviting coaches and student athletes to stop by and spend some time with us. We are also implementing the biggest change in Wyoming Buddy Walk history…a new location. With the help of our friends from UW Athletics we are moving the Wyoming Buddy Walk® indoors! The 2014 Wyoming Buddy Walk® will take place in the Memorial Fieldhouse on the UW campus.

Registration will begin at 11:00 am at the UW Memorial Fieldhouse. The Welcome Ceremony will begin at 11:30 am, and the walk will start around 11:45 am. Following the walk we will enjoy lunch, the Buddy Walk carnival, live music, and dancing.
