It’s time for the Border War. Or, as many Wyoming fans like to say, it’s “Sheep Week.” The Cowboys host the Rams Friday night in Laramie.

The Battle for the Bronze Boot will start at 7:30 p.m. on Friday from War Memorial Stadium.

Wyoming (6-4, 3-3) has lost its last two games. For the Pokes, turnovers played a large role, plus nine penalties in the loss at Utah State last Saturday.

Now facing a short week of preparation for a rival, head coach Craig Bohl knows it’s critical to be ready for a game he says is between “two evenly matched teams.”

Coach Bohl discussed a lot in his weekly press conference on Monday afternoon in the video above. He pointed to this week and the matchup, plus how much this game means to the players, the school and fans across the state. Bohl reviewed the loss at Utah State, the quick turnaround to a new opponent, many aspects of this rivalry, protecting the football, the Rams offense and defense, and more.

Wyoming and Colorado State will meet for the 111th time on the football field. The Cowboys have won the last three and will go for their fourth Friday night.

You can listen to the Border War on KOWB (AM 1290) in Laramie or KTWO (AM 1030) in Casper.
