After finishing work or class, one of the best ways to relax is to find some friends and a pool table (and perhaps even a have drink, depending on the location). With a variety of places to play pool in town, you can pick depending on who is coming along for the game.

  • The Library: For the Casual Game

If you just want to relax and get a few pools balls in before your opponent, the Library is the place to go. However, the Library’s one pool table can be busy, so be prepared to grab dinner at the restaurant or drinks at the bar.

  • The Union: For the College Student

Even though the pool tables in the University of Wyoming Union are not exclusively for college student use, there tends to me more college students than community members. However, the Union does have several pool tables, so securing a table is not hard. The pool tables are located in the lower level next to the Gardens restaurant. Costs are 1 Player - $3/hour, 2 Players - $5/hour, 3 Players - $6/hour, 4 Players - $7/hour.

  • Laramie Lanes: For Pool Players with Non-Pool Playing Friends

Laramie Lanes is a great place to play pool if you can’t convince all of your friends that they want to play pool. While you can play with one or two of your friends, the rest can try their hand at bowling.

  • The Buckhorn Bar

The Buckhorn Bar is where to head for an early game of pool. With limited space and large crowds in the later evenings and weekends, the Buckhorn often moves their pool table out of the bar to create more space. So if you want to play a game or two, make sure you arrive early or call ahead to see if the table is still out.
