Average Wyoming Gas Price Essentially Unchanged

Analysts with GasBuddy.com say there was very little change in Wyoming's average gas price last week.

"It dropped a measly three-tenths of a cents to about $3.59 per gallon, even as the national average dropped about a penny-and-a-half to $3.47," senior petroleum analyst Patrick DeHaan said on Monday.

But DeHaan also said that, despite the limited change, relief for Wyoming drivers at the pump is on the horizon.

"After Labor Day, demand for gasoline typically declines by a good amount, and by mid-September we switch back to winter gasoline, as the EPA-mandated blends of summer gasoline are no longer used after September 15th."

Gas is selling for as low as $3.41 in Casper and Cheyenne and $3.42 in Laramie.
