When Zac Brown Band takes the stage tonight, Cheyenne Frontier Days will officially be underway. Every year, it seems that CFD wins awards for having such a stellar outdoor rodeo, but the concert lineup seems to get stronger and stronger each year as well. Cow Camp Fire Grows to 3,500 Acres – UPDATES
On Monday morning, the Cow Camp fire about five miles southeast of Laramie Peak was burning nearly 100 acres. Last night, the fire was up to 1,500 acres. Today, that same fire has grown to 3,500 burning acres.

Writing for a website that is based in Laramie, it seems odd to recommend an event occurring elsewhere, but during the third weekend in June, Cheyenne is going to be where it’s at. From 5 pm until midnight on Friday and Saturday, June 15 and 16, the annual Wyoming Brewers Festival in the Cheyenne Depot Plaza will be party central in the Cowboy State.
UW Art Museum Exhibits Papua New Guinea Objects
On Saturday, March 31, a free exhibition at the University of Wyoming Art Museum will open titled, “Journeys along the Sepik River: Tribal Art from Papua New Guinea.” The exhibition would never be happening, were it not for a gift recently acquired by the UW Art Museum.
UW School of Nursing Gets $1 Million Donation
