The Pretty Things Peep Show, a touring vaudeville review, will take the the stage at the Gryphon Theatre on Thursday June 28th.

The founder of The Pretty Things Peep Show, Go-Go Amy, says that the performance is like an olde-timey variety show, "There will be sword-swallowing, whip-cracking, hula-hooping, burlesque... all kinds of weird different acts."

The troop was started about four years ago in New York City and is on its 14th tour. Go-Go Amy says that the idea came to her when she was working in a sideshow, "I kind of wanted to combine the beauty of burlesque with the variety of a sideshow, and that's the theme. Once I had that idea in my head I just started talking to people."  It was in talking to people about her idea that Go-Go Amy met fellow performers Heather Holiday and Donny Vomit, a pair that Go-Go Amy says are the dynamic duo of sideshow.

"Heather is our sword swallower and knife thrower as well as a variety of other dangerous sideshow stunts. Donny is our host and also does a an array of other amazing acts." Go-Go Amy goes on to say that both Heather and Donny got their start at a Coney Island sideshow.

Go-Go Amy, Heather Holiday and Donny Vomit comprise the core group of performers, but for this tour the three are being joined by Alley Oops from New Orleans. According to Go-Go Amy, Alley gives a circus aspect to the show with hulu hoops, burlesque, and aerial silks, "We've got a little of something for everybody. There's sexy ladies, lots of knives, things that require a lot of skill and comedy. Between the four of us we have just about every act you can think of covered."

The four performers will hit the boards of the Gryphon Theatre stage, in The Laramie Plains Civic Center, at 7:30 PM on Thursday June 28th. Tickets range from $10-$15.

The Gryphon Theater has reserved this show for audience members 18 years of age and up.
