Teams in Class 2A have their first-round state tournament games on Thursday at Natrona County High School.

These are brief summaries of all the games of day two in order of the schedule.

Girls Final Score: Rocky Mountain 47 Kemmerer 43 

The Rocky Mountain Grizzlies top the Kemmerer Rangers in the early game. Rocky Mountain was able to find 11 points on its bench in the win. The Grizzlies were also 10-12 from the free-throw line. Taylin Boettcher and Kiara Jolley were the leading scorers for Rocky Mountain each with 6 points. In the loss, Kemmerer was led by Madelyn Gregory who scored 11 points.

Girls Final Score: Southeast 49 Riverside 33

Southeast was able to capitalize by scoring 13 2nd chance points and 12 points off of turnovers. The Southeast Cyclones shot 40.5% from the field. The Cyclones outrebounded the Rebels 44-23. Kadra Clark scored 12 points and grabbed four rebounds. Clark was also 2-3 from the 3-point line. Sydney Anderson came off the bench to score 12 points and accumulated nine rebounds in the win, six of those rebounds were offensive. For the Riverside Rebels Kelby Vandeest scored 21 points, five of those scores coming from beyond the 3-point line.

Boys Final Score: Rocky Mountain 64 Tongue River 51

Rocky Mountain picked up steam and did not slow down. The Grizzlies were able to slow down the Tongue River Eagles offense in the 4th quarter. Rocky Mountain was leading 36-20 at halftime. The Grizzlies were led by Taylor Winland who scored 20 points and Tyler Banks who scored 12. The Eagles were led by Nick Summers who scored 15 points and Braden McCafferty who was able to score 10 points.

Boys Final Score: Pine Bluffs 70 Kemmerer 59 

The Pine Bluffs Hornets fought hard to win this game over the Kemmerer Rangers. Kemmerer was winning 35-26 at halftime. An explosive 2nd half gave Pine Bluffs the lead. Michael Shain was all over the court scoring 29 points and having nine total rebounds. Reed Thompson, Ryan Fornstrom, and Justus Golding all scored 11 points for the Hornets in the win. Although Kemmerer had a strong 1st half they could not stop turning the ball over as the Rangers had 11 turnovers in the 2nd half. Colter Brunski scored 21 points and had five rebounds in the loss.

Girls Final Score: Pine Bluffs 63 Lusk 27 

It was all Pine Bluffs during this one. The Pine Bluffs Hornets did not have any issues scoring in this one. The Hornets shot 48.2% from the field today. The team also scored five 3-pointers. The team also outrebounded the Tigers 45-28 in total rebounds. Jaiden Shelit scored 24 points and brought down four rebounds in the win for Pine Bluffs. She was able to hit three 3-pointers as well. Hyleigh Fornstrom also for Pine Bluffs scored 16 points. Courtney Rowley led Tigers in scoring with 11 points

Girls Final Score: Wyoming Indian 51 Moorcroft 24 

A late 3rd quarter run ignited the Wyoming Indian Lady Chiefs offense that carried over to the 4th quarter. The Lady Chiefs scored 34 points in the 2nd half of play and held Moorcroft to just eight points in the 2nd half. The scoring was distributed fairly evenly. Sandie Friday had10 points and nine rebounds, Jaden Ferris also scored 10 points, and Angela Astorga had nine points, nine rebounds and four steals in the win for the Chiefs. Moorcroft turned the ball over 32 times which allowed the Chiefs to score 27 points off of turnovers.

Boys Final Score 2OT: Sundance 46 Southeast 44

A double-overtime thriller is what this game was. The Sundance Bulldogs claimed victory over the Southeast Cyclones Friday night. Going into halftime Southeast had a 21-13 lead over Sundance. Gunner McLaughlin had 15 points and nine rebounds in the win. Kye Taylor also came up big for the Bulldogs by hitting three 3-pointers. Taylor scored 11 points. There were seven lead changes and eight ties in total throughout the game. For Southeast Sawyer Anderson scored 15 points, hitting three 3-pointers.

Boys Final Score: Wyoming Indian 63 Big Horn 61

Wyoming Indian beats Big Horn. The Chiefs held until the very end to come out on top. Austin Hill was the leading scorer for the Chiefs. Hill had 20 points. War-Lance Black Shawl had 15 points, Brandon Redman also had 15 points. The Chiefs shot 45.7% from the field and knocked down six three-pointers. Big Horn won the turnover battle but lost the game. The team had 12 points off of turnovers. Carson Bates was the teams leading scorer with 16 points.
