A Sidney, Nebraska man was killed and two others injured in a five-vehicle crash east of Cheyenne early Monday morning.

Wyoming Highway Patrol Sgt. Jeremy Beck says the crash occurred at milepost 368 on Interstate 80 around 6:34 a.m.

Beck says 36-year-old Vadym Koshman, of Kent, Washington, was headed east when his semi collided with two semis stopped in the emergency lane, crossed the median and struck a vehicle and semi that were headed west.

Koshman and the driver of the vehicle, 21-year-old Jasmine Herrera, of Sidney, Nebraska, were wearing their seat belts and were taken to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center for injuries they sustained in the crash.

Herrera's passenger, 25-year-old Tyson Herrera, was also buckled up, but died at the scene.  The other people involved were not injured.

Beck says driver inattention on the part of Koshman is being investigated as a contributing factor.
