Wyoming’s Grand Teton National Park Wins An Award
They won this award because of their Jenny Lake Renewal Project. Jenny Lake brings in around 1.9 million tourists each year and it was hard for folks with wheeler chairs to enjoy the beautiful scenery. The project included paving a lakeshore area dubbed Rock Beach. Eroded shorelines were also transformed into accessible overlooks. The project cost $18 million with $4 million coming from the National Park Service and the rest came from the Grand Teton National Park Foundation.
The Jenny Lake Project will be finished in the summer of 2019.
