
Wyoming’s Fort Phil Kearny Hosts 10,000 Years Of History
Saturday, April 27th, 2019, you will be able to listen to a “Walking Back 10,000 Years of Human History on the Western Great Plains and Middle Rocky Mountains” at the Fort Kearny State Historic Site.
The speaker will be Dr. Newton, an archaeologist who has been studying the western Great Plains and middle Rocky Mountains. He will talk about early man in the area, The Plains Indian Wars, and how things changed when settlers arrived from Europe.
Fort Kearney is between Buffalo and Sheridan Wyoming on interstate 90. They have a new walking trail on site that they invite you to explore. This weekends weather should be perfect for the event.
