Wyoming Inventor Launches ‘Truckette’ Hats For Women (And Man Buns)
The idea was born on a bad hair day in the Wind River Mountains. Stacie Tunison was hiking the Cirque of the Towers and wanted to wear a messy bun, so she modified her trucker hat with a camping knife. Three years later, her hiking hack has turned into a homegrown company called Truckette Hats.
After Tunison made her entire hat collection bun friendly, friends began asking her to modify their hats. She eventually patented the idea and launched a successful Kickstarter fund to expand the business.
The first line of Truckette hats features 20 different designs, including glittery unicorns, a bear with antlers (beer), several funny phrases, and an artist series inspired by wildlife and nature.
