Wyoming Governor: Nuclear Waste Storage Still To Be Explored
Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon says he will continue to look into the possibility of storing nuclear waste in Wyoming, although he adds the idea is "not on the front burner."
Gordon made the comments in an interview with Glenn Woods on the ''Wake Up Wyoming" program on Thursday morning. A legislative committee this week decided not to pursue legislation that could have led to the study of storing spent nuclear fuel roads in Wyoming. The sponsor of that legislation noted the governor has the ability to pursue the idea on his own.
In the interview with Woods, the governor also discussed a number of other topics, ranging from the state budget to the new office he will be moving into at the Wyoming Capitol Building.
