Federal judges in Wyoming recently sentenced five defendants for drug and aviation violations.

 

U.S. District Court Judge Scott Skavdahl sentenced Connie Jean Moffat, 49, of Ogden, Utah, for conspiracy to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine and for being a felon in possession of a firearm. Moffat was arrested in Casper. She received 10 years imprisonment, to be followed by five years of supervised release Skavdahl also ordered her to pay a $200 special assessment and $500 in restitution. This case was investigated by the Casper Police Department, the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation, and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

 

Skavdahl sentenced James Hill, 49, also of Ogden for conspiracy to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine. Hill was arrested in Casper. He received nine years, two months imprisonment, to be followed by four years of supervised release. Skavdahl also ordered him to pay a $100 special assessment and $500 in restitution. This case was investigated by the Casper Police Department, the DCI and the BATFE.
Skavdahl also sentenced Mark Antonio Ybarra, 26, of Riverton for distribution of methamphetamine. Ybarra was arrested in Casper. He received two years of supervised probation and was ordered to pay a $100 special assessment and $300 in restitution. This case was investigated by the DCI and the U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs.

 

Chief U.S. District Court Judge Nancy Freudenthal sentenced Littlelee Ragsdale, 33, of Cheyenne for possession with intent to distribute more than 50 grams of methamphetamine and for possession with intent to distribute less than 100 grams of heroin. Ragsdale was arrested in Casper. He received nine years imprisonment, to be followed by four years of supervised release Freudenthal also ordered him to pay a $200 special assessment and $400 in restitution. The DCI investigated this case.

 

U.S. District Court Judge Alan Johnson sentenced Gilbert Wayne Wiles, Jr., 38, of Denver for aiding and abetting the operation of an unregistered aircraft. Niles received three years of probation and was ordered to pay a $100.special assessment and a $1000 fine. This case was investigated by the U.S. Department of Transportation Office of Inspector General and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
