The Wyoming Cowgirls shot a season-high 62 percent and clobbered the UNLV Lady Rebels, 99-68, Saturday in Laramie.

Kayla Woodward scored a game-high 23 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Kaitlyn Mileto added 21 points, and Marquelle Dent registered her third career double-double. She scored 20 points and dished out a season-high 10 assists.

The three players reacted to the hot shooting performance afterwards:

Wyoming (14-12, 9-7) shot 73 percent in the first half. They knocked down 22-of-30 shots, which included 9-for-12 from beyond the arc.

An early four-point play by Mileto got the Cowgirls off to a quick 11-3 start. UNLV trimmed it to 13-10 before a big Wyoming surge. The Cowgirls used a 16-5 run midway through the half for a 29-15 advantage. They closed the half on a 20-7 spurt and led 56-27 at the break.

UNLV (13-14, 10-6) got no closer than 29 points the rest of the game. They were led by Danielle Miller with 15 points. They shot only 38 percent from the floor.

The Cowgirls finished with 25 assists on their 37 made field goals. They also had a 34-26 edge in rebounding.

Wyoming is back in action Tuesday at Utah State. The game is set for a 7 p.m. start.
