For the first time in program history, the Wyoming Cowgirls won at Boise State Saturday, 64-59.

Kayla Woodward scored 24 points and grabbed seven rebounds in UW's first conference road win. Kaitlyn Mileto added 15 points, while Jordan Kelley had a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds.

Cowgirl head coach Joe Legerski said,

"We've been close in several games this season, and I knew it was a matter of time that we made some shots down the stretch."

Wyoming (7-7, 2-2) trailed 55-52 with 3:38 left. After four big stops on defense, plus a pair of jumpers by Woodward, one from Marquelle Dent and a layup from Kelley, the Cowgirls were in front 60-55. Free throws from Dent and Woodward sealed the victory.

Legerski added, "I thought Kayla (Woodward) was big in the last few moments and throughout the game."

The Cowgirls shot only 39 percent from the field, but held the Broncos to 35 percent on their home floor.

Boise State (10-4, 2-1) was led by Deanna Weaver with 20 points.

Wyoming will return to action on Wednesday at San Diego State. The game is set for a 7 p.m. start.
