GILLETTE, Wyo. (AP) — A Wyoming bus driver's DUI charge has been dismissed because prosecutors could not locate a key witness.

Barbara J. Sleeth of Gillette was arrested on May 1 after someone reported a bus driving recklessly through a residential area, running stop signs, speeding and leaving the road.

Court records say Sleeth failed a field sobriety test and acknowledged taking several over-the-counter and prescribed medications the previous night. The 58-year-old also was charged with five counts of reckless endangering. There were five students on the bus.

The charges were dismissed on Friday.

Maureen Costello, a spokeswoman with the Campbell County Attorney's Office, says the charges likely would be refiled if the witness is located.
