Wyoming Breast Cancer Initiative Hosts Laramie Laelia Gala

Breast cancer touches lives near and far, across the years. Juanita Dotson was diagnosed with breast cancer when her daughter and Laramie leader Jacqueline Grimes was 18 years old. Juanita exemplified strength, humor, love, and poise until she passed away in 2011.

In memory of her mother, Jacqueline and the Wyoming Breast Cancer Initiative will host the inaugural Laelia Gala on October 10^th at the Alice Hardie Stevens Center. The evening will celebrate, honor and inspire Albany County breast cancer survivors, family, and advocates.

Attendees will enjoy local music by Moral Panic, tapas, drinks, an inspirational program and a dessert auction that will highlight local grants and breast cancer warriors. Dress up a bit in cocktail attire enjoying the evening and a creative dessert auction. Cash bar will be available.

Proceeds donated to the Wyoming Breast Cancer Initiative with funds supporting statewide breast cancer programs. Funds raised in Wyoming, Stay in Wyoming.

The Wyoming Breast Cancer Initiative has a mission to increase breast cancer awareness and prevention across Wyoming.  Since 2016, the WBCI raises funds through various volunteer-led events throughout the state that are then granted into community breast cancer organizations and into a statewide early detection voucher program. To date, the WBCI has granted over $300,000 into programs covering all Wyoming counties with five grant programs in Albany County. Funds raised in Wyoming, stay in Wyoming.
