A Wyoming Highway Patrol state trooper and a good samaritan rescued a person from a burning pickup with little time to spare Tuesday morning.

According to a WHP Facebook post, the state trooper was called milepost 82 on Interstate 25 for a vehicle that ran off the road. When the state trooper arrived, they saw a pickup truck that had rolled over and was on fire. The trooper also saw an unresponsive driver in the truck.

With the help of a good Samaritan, the trooper was able to pull the driver from the vehicle moments before it became fully engulfed.

The driver was taken to Platte County Memorial Hospital in Wheatland with unspecified injuries. No one else was in the truck at the time of the crash. The road was icy and covered in snow.
