Winners Of $600K Wyoming Lottery Jackpot Come Forward
The winning ticket was sitting in his truck. After nearly three months, the big winners of the May 1st Cowboy DrawⓇ jackpot have come forward to claim their prize worth more than $600,000. WyoLotto officials say Shane and Noniece Woolsey of Gunnison, Utah, are the lucky ticket holders. They purchased the winning ticket April 26th at Kegger’s, at 749 Overthrust Road in Evanston, Wyoming.
Shane said he travels to Evanston every few weeks and buys lottery tickets. About a week ago, he remembered he had a few tickets stashed away in a pocket in his trunk. . On July 25th, Shane asked his nephew to join him on a trip to Evanston. “I just had a feeling that I needed to check my tickets,” Shane said.
Because Shane had to work the next day, his nephew went online to check the numbers for him. “I was driving, and he called me and told me to pull over because I won $611,000,” Shane said. The exact amount is $611,781.
Shane and Noniece own a trucking company in the small town of Gunnison, and say they plan to purchase a new truck. Shane also said the winnings may allow him to retire from driving so he can focus on managing the business.
