GREENWOOD, Ind. -- Wyoming junior guard Quinn Weidemann has been selected to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Women's Basketball Team for District six, announced Thursday by the association, as voted on by the district's Communications Directors.

Weidemann is one of just five members of the all-district team, in a district that includes schools from Arkansas, Iowa, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

The 2021 Academic All-District Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances both in athletics and in the classroom. Academic All-District honorees now advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot. Academic All-Americans will be announced in late May.

Weidemann, who helped lead the Cowgirls to their first Mountain West Tournament Title and second NCAA Tournament in program history back in March, carries a 3.97 GPA in Entrepreneurship and Marketing.

The 2021 Mountain West Tournament Most Valuable Player, was selected to the All-Defensive Team in the league this season. Weidemann averaged 11 points per game in 2020-21, while shooting just under 40 percent from 3-point range on the season. Weidemann was also second on the team with 22 steals and averaged just under three assists per contest.

For her career, Weidemann is 12th all-time in program history with 140 made 3-pointers and is 16th in career attempts with 341. Her 41.1 percent career 3-point percentage ranks fifth-best all time, while her 85.7 percent shooting from the free-throw line, ranks her fourth all-time amongst Cowgirls.

Weidemann has also been selected to the Academic All-Mountain West Team and has been named an MW Scholar-Athlete multiple times while at UW.
