Critical fire weather conditions are forecast for Wednesday in four Wyoming counties, according to the National Weather Service in Riverton.

Natrona, Fremont, Johnson and Sweetwater Counties will likely be affected. The fire weather watch will be in effect from Wednesday afternoon through Wednesday evening.

Conditions there are predicted to be prime for erratic fire behavior and new fire starts. That's due to a combination of humidities as low as 10 percent, temperatures in the mid 60s and 70s as well as winds of 15-25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

The National Weather Service says red flag warnings could follow the fire weather watch.

The watch means people should take extra precautions with any open flames or flammable materials to prevent wildfires.
